What an amazing experience and privilege it was to work on the World Half Marathon down in Cardiff last weekend.
As the we were battered by the wind it did at times feel like we were in Kansas instead of Cardiff but the show went on….and what a show.
Thousands of people took to the streets of Cardiff on Easter Saturday to run in the footsteps of champions, on the World Half Marathon course and didn’t let a bit of wind and rain stop them from crossing the finish line.
It was an incredible afternoon for all the runners, spectators, volunteers and everyone involved in the event.
Britain’s Mo Farah won a bronze medal as Geoffrey Kamworor won back-to-back World Half Marathon titles. Kamworor won in 59:10mins despite falling at the start, while compatriot Bedan Karoki finished second.
