InEvent was contacted, with only ten days to days to go until the event. The client required two start and finish gantries with three towers and two crosspieces to cover two carriageways in QEOP. The towers and gantries had be fully erected and branded between 02.00 and 04.30am. The de-rig had to take place between 09.00 and 11.00am that morning so the roads could re-open.
The client asked InEvent to manage the entire project from the design and build including wind calculations, health and safety assessments and structural calculations through to final installation. It was also a requirement that the branding be of the highest quality as this was a high profile televised event.
InEvent provided two prolyte gantry structures built from 1.0m cross sectional trussing. Wind and structural calculations were provided after an on-site survey and all shipping, construction, ballast weights, labour, plant, materials and branding were supplied well within the client’s budget and timescale. The team part-constructed and branded the gantries off site to ensure a swift and quality installation on site. The crew and office worked tirelessly through the night to ensure that the gantries were ready on time.
